Athletes on the Rise and Youngstarzz Player Development have partnered to present the Collegiate Basketball Blueprint-a 3 day basketball intensive.

Many athletes want to play college basketball.  Very few understand the abilities needed to compete at that level.  This camp will deep dive into all the important details:  skills, IQ, sports performance, mental performance, recruitment, and much more.  If you are serious about competing at the College level, this camp is for you.

This camp will include 21 hours of work on the court and in the classroom over 2.5 days.

Features:

  • Player needs analysis – what role can you fill at the next levels at your current height, weight, and ability
  • Skill set development – footwork, finishing, shooting (off the catch, off the dribble, and on the move), defending multiple positions, rebounding
  • Basketball IQ development – learning how to apply skills in game situations
  • Situational breakdowns – passing, scoring & defending in transition, cutting, off ball screens, on ball screens
  • Sports Performance – learn the basics to improve your speed, strength, agility, vertical jump, & conditioning while staying healthy
  • Film Breakdown – learn to analyze your individual performance and opponent tendencies
  • Mental Performance Training – pre- & post- competition routines, mistake recovery training, overcoming adversity, improving confidence, dealing with pressure
  • College basketball basics – recruiting (normal and during COVID), signing day, expectations, options, scholarships, walk-ons, grade requirements, differences between Div. 1, 2, 3 & NAIA, JUCO, Prep school & more
  • A Collegiate basketball experience – experience a practice session held to the standard of collegiate basketball

For male and female athletes from grades 7-12 with a solid basketball skill foundation.  This is NOT for the introductory basketball player.

Film Study is for any athlete that wants to improve themselves technically and tactically by breaking down film of themselves, their team, or their opponent. Typically, film study is for athletes 12+ years old through professional.

Mental training is a foundational piece for all of the AOTR training; with the proper mentality, just about anything can be accomplished.  Mental training is woven throughout the Skill and Physical training, however there are many times this needs to be a focal point in itself.  Many times, athletes need to be taught how to set and accomplish goals, work hard and smart, prepare and focus in before and during training/competition, recover after making mistakes, reflect after training/competition is finished, create a championship mentality, and avoid burnout.


$100.00 / month and a $65.00 sign-up fee

Nutrition plays a major in an athlete’s ability to develop, perform and recover.  Nutrition can be the difference maker in accomplishing weight gain/loss and body composition goals.  A proper plan will also improve energy levels and recovery ability to keep athletes healthy and performing at their highest levels.

AOTR Nutrition Coaching features:

  • Assessment of the athlete’s current diet
  • Sports Nutrition plans for training, competition and recovery based on the athlete’s goals
  • Nutritional advice for the progressive dietary changes needed to prepare, perform, and recover at the highest level

This package will include a 1 hour diet assessment & goals setting interview, a food journal for the athlete to log and food journal analysis, a 1 hour Sports Nutrition planning session, and 3 30 minute follow up sessions to track progress and adjust the program as necessary.
