Description

ELITE FUNDAMENTAL SKILLS TRAINING FOR WILMOT AREA ATHLETES!

14 hours of training spread over an 7 week pre-season training program!  Only 7th-11th graders who are serious about improving should attend!

Maximum 20 athletes!

ELITE TRAINING FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO BECOME THE BEST!

This Academy is for athletes from grades 7-11 that want to learn how to master the basics of ballhandling, passing, finishing & shooting.  We will assess those in attendance, give them subjective & objective feedback, and improve their fundamental skills.  Goals are the following:

  • Ballhandling: Get the ball on a string, improve basic footwork & applications, improved tempo, ability to change speeds, and the ability to change directions efficiently, and improve attack angles
  • Passing the ball on a string with either hand, cutting to get open, passing on time and on target
  • Finishing with speed off 1 and 2 feet with either hand
  • Improved range & mechanics while shooting 70% on air for catch & shoot, shooting on the move, and 1 dribble pullups with proper footwork and mechanics

The attention to detail and amount of improvement at this camp will be second to none.  If an athlete wants to improve his or her game, this is by FAR the best camp you can attend to improve on the basics.

Athletes will be required to do homework between the sessions.  Attendees are allowed 1 maximum planned miss due to other obligations (not recommended).  In the unfortunate occurrence of sickness or death in the family, please notify the Coach as soon as possible.  Missing training due to work or social activities is a choice to not be fully committed, and such players should not consider this camp.

If you only plan on coming to a few sessions or will not do your basketball homework, you should not sign up.  To be great in anything, the first step is COMMITTING to being great, showing up, and putting in the work!  LOVE what you do!!!

If you cannot do those things, you will not reach your potential in anything.  This is an Academy for those who aspire to improve their game a great deal.  You will improve, GUARANTEED, if you show up and put in hard, focused work!  And you will REAP THE REWARDS as a result.  There is nothing more gratifying than getting better at something you LOVE to do after putting in HARD WORK!

Coach Erick Vigansky will lead all sessions.

Athletes will be held accountable to do training on their own between sessions (or there are consequences!).  Athletes will learn the life skills of hard work, discipline, respect, overcoming adversity, dealing with pressure, & accountability.

As a result of the work they put in, their abilities & confidence grow immensely (PRICELESS!).

This Training is open to Wilmot athletes from grades 7-12, with a maximum of 20 athletes.

With over 15+ years of experience with the Youth through Elite levels, Coach Erick recently completed a 2024 Winter trip to the University of Alabama (NCAA D1), Birmingham Squadron (NBA G-LEAGUE), and Indiana State University (NCAA D1) to watch practices and speak with each program’s Coaches, where he learned what makes the top offenses in the USA so successful!
