Arriving to the USA from Taiwan at the age of 12, Joy Burke never before touched a basketball. By the time she was 18, she had earned a full ride to play basketball at Arizona State University, a Division 1 school. We talk about Joy’s development before she arrived at ASU, how she continues to evolve her game in the pros overseas, and how the game of basketball has brought her to every corner of the world. We also discuss how culture impacts the playing styles of countries, what she would do differently within her development, and how her faith has been a cornerstone of her identity as she continues to play the game and serve as an Ambassador for Nike.
