During this episode, we talk with Coach Logan Dahms, currently the Assistant Coach at UT-Chattanooga.  Coach Dahms and I briefly discuss our Costa Rican connection, his overseas experience and how it shaped his coaching philosophies, how and why he entered into coaching, and how he has gone about developing relationships within the basketball world.

From there we dive into different recruiting philosophies for collegiate basketball, the transfer portal, NIL, and how it all affects collegiate program development.  We talk about the process of gathering information on potential recruits, creating a short list for potential recruits, and the necessity of having direct conversations.  We discuss identifying yellow and red flags when recruiting, the new role of agents in college and how it can affect players for better or worse, and the use of scouting services.

From there, we exchange ideas about how players should market themselves and good guidelines to follow.  We then discuss why reads and reactions are so important to player development, and the progressions and regressions.  We finish talking about shot developments and standards and what collegiate programs could potentially do better to improve the recruitment process.
